The new search feature actually looks pretty awesome. It works like spotlight in System Preferences (where it darkens everything except the items that match your search string).

I love my iphone 4 and I don't plan on upgrading til 2012 but I disagree there is no need for a new iphone.
I think Apple still needs to make sure they keep up. And honestly, I would say the iphone needs a faster processor (I hear the 3GS is faster due to not having as high resolution) and better graphics/more ram and more storage (but honestly that will always be the case really, it's how computer tech runs, always needing to be faster).
Course, I've gotten a lot more into gaming on my phone ;). But I have had several apps (admittedly mostly games) that do have random freeze for a second which to me is kinda unimpressive since it is the latest phone (it's not that annoying, but just unimpressive and worrysome how it will keep up with apps when it ages if it already is experiencing some lag now).
No, I don't really have any want of new things on it (except for the excitement of what will they add now) and I'm perfectly happy with the GPS/camera (The two things i wanted improved on my 3G).
But if nothing else, Apple needs to at least put out a new iphone each year to keep up with speed and new applications that need more speed (and really even though I'm happy with the camera people expect the camera technology to improve on each phone). That's the nature of technology.

I got an email from Apple tonight telling this was the last reminder they were going to give me to update my calendar on the MobileMe systems to the new version otherwise I'd lose the ability to sync it and wouldn't be able to view it online, either. Which sounds like they're going to delete it for all intents and purposes. :rolleyes:
I bet the only reason it's required I click something to perform this update is because it entails agreeing to a new EULA with some nefarious new terms or requires I start using the newest version of iCal to sync with the online calendar (which, coincidentally, isn't available for the version of OSX I have, which coincidentally requires me to buy a new Mac to run). :rolleyes:

I just bought a new wireless keyboard from mac a few weeks ago and when i connect it to my imac (10.6) it works perfectly the first time but then each time after the down arrow continually presses down. Does anyone know what could be wrong?
I took it to get checked out and they ran diagnostics on the keyboard but could find nothing so I'm thinking it might be something to do with my computer.
Any help would be great!

Not necessarily, it could be a loss leader. Apple's margin on products is generally 35%, however.I was just about to post about this likely being a loss leader. They're generating buzz and traffic in their stores. Their losses on the iPad are designed to turn profit on other sales.

I say we raise taxes, make them more progressive and at the same time, look at government spending and make reasonable and smart decisions about what and where to cut. Step one is to make sure everyone at that table can pass the one question test. "Where was the President born." Anyone who fails that test should be fired, but at a minimum, barred from participation in any meaningful discussions.
(edit) Not to get into blame, but I find it amusing that it's only now that we have a Democrat in office that Republicans like Fivepoint want to make tough choices, and the solutions they come up with are just more of the same policies from the last administration. (Cut taxes, cut government, cut social programs).

i would think 'yes' and 'yes'. more ram will make everything work better, but i also saw a huge improvement moving to a better/faster video card.
ask zen about his card since he is still up and running everyday. i used a pc ATI 9800 and flashed it, then installed a super quiet arctic-cooling aftermarket rig, worked like magic on everything from desktop to 'eye candy' to internet.
you know, you're going to need to post pictures of this thing at some point, or it didn't happen... ;) best of luck.
